AI engineer turned builder. Shipping products, where ML meets real users.

I’m Aymaan Shaikh a developer obsessed with using AI + “big data” to solve real, high-impact problems.

I’ve worked across cloud infrastructure, applied ML, and AI research touching everything from finance and med-ML to telecom, quant trading, AI agents/bots, social good, and a handful of startups from production systems to experimentation-heavy labs. Along the way, I’ve done a few fellowships, founded a nonprofit, and I’m big on volunteering and giving back.

On campus, I’m the founder/president of Cornell’s Billiards Club my favorite way to train precision and accuracy. I’ve also been a course assistant for technical classes and a CS mentor.

Outside the screen: 🧗 rock climbing and 🎾 tennis, with a side of 🏸 badminton and soccer.

Now I’m focused on building in AI the kind of work that ships, scales, and actually matters.

Hobbies and Interests

3D Modeling

Maya, SketchUp, Onshape, TinkerCad

When I thought about a simple concept or a complex invention, I could always see myself using my idea in my daily life. However, I wanted to bring my imagination to reality. Welcome to the world of 3D Modeling. In this digital realm, I'm able to take my crazy breakthroughs and visualize them through a 3D scale. Then, through the power of 3D printing, I'm able to push the digital to the physical.

Badminton

Fun Fact: My favorite player is Lin Dan!

Badminton is a sport that requires immense stamina and agility. When I started playing badminton, I wasn't the best player, but I always found it fun to smash and WIN! Whether I'm playing at my local park or sweating in an intense tournament, playing badminton is always F-U-N!
